The Johannesburg Table Tennis Association proudly announces that Chetan Nathoo, Danisha Patel and Luke Abrahams have been selected to represent the Association as part of the South African team at the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026.
The Championships will be held from 28 April 2026 to 10 May 2026 at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, England. This centenary edition marks 100 years since the inaugural World Table Tennis Championships were staged in London in 1926, making the return of the event to its birthplace a moment of great historical significance for the sport.
The Association takes immense pride in the dedication, discipline and consistent excellence shown by its athletes. Their selection reflects years of hard work and highlights the continued growth and strength of table tennis within Johannesburg. Danisha will compete in the Women’s Category, while Luke and Chetan will compete in the Men’s Category, representing both Johannesburg and South Africa on the world stage.
Alongside JTTA representatives Luke, Danisha, and Chetan, Rochica Sonday, Jade Sasman, and Cuten Lodewyk from Cape Town Table Tennis (CTTT) are representing South Africa.
The Johannesburg Table Tennis Association extends its best wishes to the entire South African squad as they prepare for this historic competition. We are confident that all athletes will represent their associations and the country with pride, professionalism and sporting excellence.
